Frequency Regulation(FR) ESS

Frequency Regulation of a grid serves to adjust the frequency by adjusting the output of the load generator in operation to prevent frequency fluctuations due to instantaneous demand fluctuations or breakdowns of the power system.
The frequency reserve in charge of the existing power plant is replaced with an ESS. Contributing to system stabilization by increasing the utilization rate of existing power plants and fast frequency tracking.

- In case of fluctuations in system frequency due to sudden change in load, frequency stability is maintained by rapid storage power discharge.
- An ESS helps to respond more quickly to stabilize the frequency by the existing power generation source,
  and significantly reduce power generation costs.

By linking an ESS to renewable energy resources such as wind power generation (Wind) with large output fluctuations or photovoltaic (PV) that generates electricity only during the day an ESS has the effect of stabilizing output, improving power quality, and increasing utilization rate

- The unstable electricity generation from Wind power results in poor energy quality, but through storing the excess power generated e.g.
  during night time, electricity can efficiently be discharged during peak times at day.
